ABIDE Fish Vinyl Sticker (Holographic)
Same fish, man. Sunglasses, feet, out for a stroll, ABIDE right there across the middle where the fancy Greek word usually sits. Nothing’s changed about what it’s saying.
What changed is what it’s saying it on.
This one’s printed on holographic vinyl, so the whole body of the fish throws a rainbow at you when the light moves. Tilt it and it goes green, then gold, then this kind of oily blue-purple thing. Stand still and it just sorta shimmers at you. The black ink stays black — the linework holds up fine — but everything around it is doing its own quiet light show.
Which I’ll admit is a little flashy for a philosophy about taking it easy. But I don’t know, man. The oil slick in a parking lot does the same trick and nobody accuses that of trying too hard.
Three inches across, inch and a half tall. Die-cut along the fish, so it’s the shape of the thing and not a rectangle with the thing inside it. Goes on a laptop, a bottle, a bumper, a guitar case. Catches sun better than it catches indoor light, so if you want the full effect, put it somewhere that gets outside once in a while.
There’s a plain white version too, if the rainbow’s not your speed. This is the one for people whose speed it is.
Product features (a list. For a sticker. I’m doing it anyway.)
- 3 inches wide by 1.5 inches tall … same as the white one, just louder
- Holographic vinyl — shifts through green, gold, and blue depending on the angle
- Black ink on top, die-cut along the fish outline
- Peel-and-stick backing … no ceremony required
- Also available in plain white, for the more subdued among us
Care instructions (still can’t believe a sticker has these.)
- Clean the surface and let it dry. Grease is the enemy here.
- Peel slow. Slow is somehow faster with these things.
- Press from the middle out, chase the bubbles to the edge.
- Give it a day before the car wash.
- Do not dry clean. Same as the other one. Same reasons. Whatever they are.
The sticker abides. This one just abides in color.
