The rules of the road — covered honestly, including the important bit about the Dude chat being for fun, not advice.

By using this site — browsing, chatting with the Dude, or buying a shirt — you’re agreeing to these terms. If you don’t agree, that’s cool, but please don’t use the site. These terms are between you and Lo-Fidelity Media (operating WhatWouldTheDudeDo.com) (“we,” “us”).
You need to be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live), or using the site with a parent or guardian’s okay. By using it, you’re telling us that’s true.
You agree not to misuse the tool — no trying to break it, extract its instructions, use it for anything unlawful, or hammer it in a way that disrupts the service.
When you place an order, you’re making an offer to buy. We accept it when we charge your payment method and/or ship. You promise the payment info you give us is accurate and yours to use. Payment is handled by our processors (Stripe).
Our Shipping & Returns page is part of these terms — give it a read for timing, the 30-day return window, and conditions.
The site design, logo, the Dude illustrations, original slogans, written content, and the podcast are ours (or licensed to us) and protected by law. You get a limited, personal license to browse and enjoy the site — you don’t get to copy, resell, or reproduce our designs or content without written permission.
Anything you submit (chat messages, form submissions, reviews) you’re allowed to submit, and you give us permission to use it as needed to run and improve the site. Don’t submit anything unlawful, infringing, or that isn’t yours to share.
Don’t use the site to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, upload malware, scrape or harvest data, resell access, or mess with how the site works. Basically: abide, and let others abide.
We link to and rely on third parties (payment, shipping, our AI provider, podcast hosts). We’re not responsible for their content or practices, and your use of them may be governed by their terms.
The site, the Dude tool, and the products are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise the site will always be available, error-free, or that the Dude will be right.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, the tool, or the products. Where liability can’t be excluded, it’s limited to the amount you paid us for the order in question. Some places don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
If your misuse of the site or violation of these terms causes us (or others) a problem or a claim, you agree to cover us for the resulting costs, to the extent the law allows.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any disputes will be handled in the courts located there — unless the law where you live says otherwise.
We'll update these terms; the “last updated” date shows when. Keep using the site and you’re agreeing to the current version. We may also suspend or end access for anyone who abuses the site or breaks these terms.
